Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager to support strategic initiatives of the Digital and Technology Management, participating in a technological evolution project oriented towards the migration of systems from on premise environments to cloud platforms. The role will focus on coordinating business and technology needs, managing priorities, facilitating communication between internal teams and remote teams, and ensuring the monitoring of progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables associated with the project. The position requires a person with organizational capacity, functional vision, general technological understanding, and good communication with different stakeholders, without the need to be a deep technical profile or cloud architect.

Responsibilities and attributions

• Gather, organize, and document functional and technological needs associated with the project.
• Coordinate communication between Avianca's internal teams, technology areas, business, and remote teams located in other countries.
• Accompany the definition and prioritization of the backlog, requirements, activities, and project deliverables.
• Monitor progress, commitments, risks, blockers, and dependencies.
• Facilitate planning, monitoring, and validation meetings with the various teams involved.
• Support the alignment between business objectives, technological capabilities, and execution times.
• Document agreements, decisions, pending items, and next steps.
• Ensure visibility of the project/product status to the corresponding stakeholders.
• Coordinate functional validations and accompany the technological adoption or transition process.
• Contribute to the initiative advancing in an orderly, traceable manner and aligned with the objectives defined by the Digital and Technology Management.
• Define work plans for the project in execution.
• Coordinate work meetings with the technical team and personnel required for the project.

Requirements and qualifications

• Previous experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Digital Project Manager, or similar role in technology projects.
• Experience participating in technological, digital, transformation, migration, modernization, or platform evolution projects.
• General knowledge of Cloud network Architectures.
• Knowledge of integrating various technologies in the Cloud or hybrid schemes.
• Ability to work with technical teams and translate business needs into clear requirements.
• General knowledge of agile methodologies and backlog management.
• Proficiency in tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Trello, Monday, or similar.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
• Good level of communication, organization, monitoring, and documentation.
• Basic/intermediate English, sufficient to understand general information, participate in simple conversations, and review basic technical or functional documentation.

Desirable knowledge

• General knowledge of cloud concepts, system migration, on premise applications, infrastructure, or technological modernization.
• Experience in projects with distributed or remote teams.
• Experience in companies with high transactional operation, digital services, ecommerce, airlines, banking, telecommunications, retail, or logistics.
• Familiarity with integration processes, APIs, application architecture, or enterprise platforms.
• Basic knowledge of risk management, dependencies, and work plans.
• Basic technical knowledge about networks, Azure services for the integration of various technologies.
• Knowledge of various flight operations systems.

Academic background

• Professional in Systems Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Administration, Technology, Digital Business, or related careers.
• Certifications or complementary training in Product Management, Scrum, Agile, project management, digital transformation, or cloud are valued, but not an exclusive requirement.

Expected experience

• Between 4 and 5 years of experience in roles related to product management, technological projects, functional analysis, digital transformation, or coordination of IT initiatives.
