Responsibilities and attributions
- 3+ years of experience as Application Support L2, Production Support, or Application Operations.
- Experience in application support in high-availability production environments.
- Knowledge and experience in Linux/Unix and Wintel.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
- Log analysis, troubleshooting, and incident diagnosis.
- Knowledge of ITIL, particularly in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
- Proficiency with ticket management tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, or equivalents.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and resolution of recurring problems, as well as attention and resolution of incidents under SLA.
- Knowledge of Markets & Wealth, including: Fixed Income.
- Equities.
- Foreign Exchange (FX) and Derivatives such as: Trade Lifecycle (Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office).
- Investment funds.
- Microservices in financial environments.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server.
- Experience in Shell Scripting.
- Knowledge of PowerShell. Experience in SRE operational task automation, observability, auto-remediation, and resilience.
Requirements and qualifications
- Provide second-level support to Markets & Wealth applications, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Continuously monitor applications using Splunk and AppDynamics to detect alerts, errors, and potential service impacts.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and application behavior to identify and resolve incidents.
- Investigate recurring incidents and determine the root cause of problems.
- Diagnose failures in applications and technological components in production environments.
- Coordinate incident resolution with Development, Infrastructure, Databases, and other technical teams.
- Attend to critical incidents and participate in service recovery and restoration activities.
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes according to ITIL practices.
- Evaluate changes and implementations to identify risks and minimize production impacts.
- Execute technical and functional validations post-change to ensure correct service operation.
- Document incidents, operating procedures, root cause analysis, and lessons learned.
- Identify repetitive manual tasks and processes with automation potential.
- Analyze alerts, incidents, and metrics to detect opportunities for improvement and reduction of operational load.
- Document automation opportunities, considering benefits, impact, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with the SRE team on automation, observability, auto-remediation, and resilience initiatives.
- Identify trends and recurring problems to propose continuous improvement actions.
- Strengthen application stability and availability through optimization and incident prevention initiatives.
