Position Overview The Construction Manager – Mechanical Engineer (CM-ME) provides mechanical engineering and construction management support for a diverse portfolio of construction, renovation, infrastructure modernization, utility, and facility improvement projects at Veterans Affairs Medical Facilities. Serving as the Government's owner’s representative within the assigned discipline, the CM-ME supports project planning, design, procurement, construction, testing/commissioning as applicable, and closeout activities within an active healthcare environment.wo The CM-ME applies sound professional judgment to evaluate project documentation, assess constructability and compliance, identify technical and project-delivery risks, and support successful execution. Working collaboratively with VA personnel, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary stakeholders, the CM-ME helps facilitate project delivery while minimizing disruption to patient care, hospital operations, and ongoing medical services.
