Position: Quantity Surveyor (QS)
Job Description
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements based on drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures are within approved budgets.
- Review contracts, project documents, and procurement requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on cost-related matters.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and supporting documents.
- Assist in project planning, budgeting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform other quantity surveying and contract administration duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, contracts, and cost management practices.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in quantity surveying, tendering, cost estimation, or contract administration will be an advantage.
- Candidates with relevant working experience will be given priority consideration.
