What are you going to do?

As a Business Controller, you act as the strategic sparring partner to the secretary/director and advise programme managers, project leaders and business developers on financial matters. You translate regional ambitions into a sound financial foundation and contribute ideas on investments, grants and innovative financing arrangements. You will oversee the planning and control cycle, draw up estimates, budgets and annual accounts, and monitor financial progress. You will identify risks in good time, advise on control measures and ensure the provision of reliable management information on which the board and organisation can base their decisions.

In addition, you will contribute to the further professionalisation of financial management. You will further develop the administrative organisation and internal control systems, promote and implement data-driven working practices, and initiate improvements that make processes more efficient and future-proof. Thanks to your incisive analyses, collaborative approach and administrative acumen, you will make a significant contribution to realising the social ambitions of the Stedendriehoek Region.

These are your colleagues

The Stedendriehoek Region team consists of around 25 dedicated professionals. You will be part of the core team alongside the secretary/director, the secretary of the Economic Board, the board adviser and the HR officer/management assistant. In your role, you will work closely with a wide range of colleagues, particularly the programme managers and project leaders.

We work in an open and informal atmosphere: independently, but we also make a point of seeking each other's company. We particularly value collaboration and brainstorming with colleagues.
