Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Assistant Chef to support the kitchen team in preparing quality meals and maintaining smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, seasoning, and portioning.
• Follow recipes and food preparation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Assist with proper storage and handling of food items.
• Monitor kitchen supplies and report items that need replenishment.
• Support the Chef during busy service periods.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to the required standard.
• Follow all food safety and kitchen procedures.
• Work effectively with other kitchen and restaurant staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage.
