Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical wiring, cables, switches, lighting, power distribution systems, and electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Conduct electrical testing, inspection, fault finding, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs and replacements.
- Install and maintain electrical panels, distribution boards, control panels, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Assist with commissioning and testing of electrical installations and equipment.
- Use electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters safely and correctly.
- Ensure electrical works comply with safety regulations, project specifications, and applicable Singapore standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other technicians during installation and maintenance works.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, testing, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and safely used.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Perform other electrical-related duties assigned by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification or technical training in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Installation.
- Practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and testing methods.
- Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Willing to work at construction/project sites and perform overtime when required.
