Hydrographic Surveyor

Responsibilities Assist in planning and carrying out hydrographic surveys. Mobilise, set up and calibrate survey equipment on dredging platforms. Conduct environmental checks, including water quality and current observations. Perform quality checks on survey data, including tidal and sound velocity corrections. Prepare survey records, reports, charts and bathymetric deliverables. Conduct patch tests and maintain accurate field documentation. Coordinate with vessel crews and project managers to support safe operations. Work closely with internal teams and clients to meet project requirements. Monitor dredging progress, production and accuracy in real time. Update pre- and post-dredging charts and troubleshoot dredging software and positioning systems. Requirements Knowledge of GNSS positioning, geodesy, land surveying, and hydrographic survey methods. Familiar with SBES/MBES, tidal corrections, vertical datums, and underwater acoustics.
