Legal Officer

Your tasks

• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing loan recovery activities.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Providing legal guidance on business transactions.
• Ensuring that the organization's interests are adequately protected in its operations and dealings with third parties.
• Manage delinquent accounts, negotiate settlements, draft and review legally sound documents.
• Identify contractual and operational risks.
• Ensure that the organization's policies, agreements, and business practices comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• A professional with a strong background in legal practice, contract management, debt recovery, negotiation, and regulatory compliance, preferably within the microfinance or broader financial services sector.
• The candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop effective recovery strategies.
• Minimum qualification of BSc.
• 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
