Job Overview

The Senior Project Executive manages and coordinates hotel refurbishment, renovation, design and project management works across Stamford properties in Australia and Singapore.

The role covers the project lifecycle from concept and design through tender, construction, defects and handover, ensuring projects meet the required quality, programme, budget and operational standards.

The role works closely with the Project Manager, hotel teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers, with responsibility for assigned projects and workstreams.

Travel and temporary stationing in Australia may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning & Coordination
  • Manage assigned projects from concept through completion and handover.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, hotel teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Plan and coordinate site activities, inspections, installations and rectification works.
  • Monitor programme, key milestones and outstanding matters.
  • Identify project issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations.
  1. Design & Documentation
  • Coordinate design development, drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Assist with material, furniture, fixtures and finishes selection.
  • Proficient in Excel & AutoCAD drafting.
  • Review design proposals based on site conditions, constructability, cost and hotel operations.
  • Coordinate and resolve design and technical queries.
  1. Tender & Cost Management
  • Prepare project briefs, scopes and tender documentation.
  • Research and shortlist suitable contractors, consultants and suppliers.
  • Conduct tender briefings, site show-rounds and technical inspections.
  • Review quotations, tender submissions and proposed materials.
  • Participate in tender evaluations and commercial discussions.
  • Monitor costs, variations, budget and project risks.
  1. Site Management & Quality
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor progress, workmanship and quality.
  • Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Identify and follow up on defects, risks and non-compliance.
  • Coordinate rectification, installation and completion works.
  • Work closely with hotel operations to manage site activities and minimise disruption.
  1. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare project updates covering progress, costs, risks, variations and outstanding matters.
  • Maintain project reports, meeting minutes, trackers and documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Escalate key issues requiring Project Manager or Management attention.
  1. Completion & Handover
  • Coordinate completion inspections and final rectification.
  • Manage defects and follow up on outstanding works.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover requirements where applicable.
  • Ensure handover documents, warranties, manuals and as-built information are properly compiled.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Interior Design or related field.
  • 4-5 years of relevant project, construction, interior or renovation experience.
  • Experience in project management, tendering, contractor coordination and site management.
  • Hotel refurbishment or commercial interior experience is an advantage.
  • Able to review drawings, specifications, quotations and tender submissions.
  • Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel & CAD drafting.
  • Independent, proactive, organised and detail-oriented.
  • Practical and hands-on approach to project delivery.
  • Willing and able to travel and be stationed in Australia for extended periods.
