Project Manager – Mechanical / ACMV | Major Infrastructure Project
Location: East Region Monday - Friday: 8.30AM - 6PM Expected Onboarding: Q1/2027 Standby Requirement: 24/7 standby may be required depending on project and operational needs .
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of ACMV systems for large-scale construction and engineering projects.
- Oversee project scope, programme, budget, manpower, quality and overall delivery.
- Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved according to contractual requirements.
- Provide technical and operational direction to project teams and subcontractors.
Project Planning & Cost Management
- Develop detailed project schedules, manpower plans and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure works remain on schedule.
- Manage project costs and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Identify potential delays, cost issues and project risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Site & Operations Management
- Supervise daily ACMV installation activities and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor workmanship, installation quality and site progress.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and technical teams to resolve site issues promptly.
- Manage site constraints, technical challenges and potential delays.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and relevant authorities.
- Lead coordination meetings and provide updates on project progress, technical matters and key issues.
- Coordinate ACMV works with other building services and construction disciplines.
- Maintain effective communication between project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Technical & Compliance Management
- Review ACMV shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and technical documentation.
- Ensure installations comply with project specifications, applicable building regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant BCA, SCDF and other statutory requirements .
- Provide technical guidance and resolve design or installation-related issues.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee testing, balancing and commissioning (T&C) of ACMV systems.
- Coordinate rectification and troubleshooting works prior to handover.
- Ensure all testing and commissioning requirements are completed according to project specifications.
- Manage final handover, including as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals .
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in ACMV engineering and project management.
- Strong experience in managing large-scale ACMV installation and construction projects.
- Good knowledge of ACMV system design, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Familiarity with ACMV coordination, shop drawings, method statements and technical submissions.
- Willing to be on 24/7 standby when required , given the nature and seniority of the role.
