Field Service Technician - Vacuum Solutions

Location: Marymount Monday - Friday: 8.30AM - 5.30PM Basic + AWS + VB + Allowance Training provided

Our client is an established industrial technology and engineering solutions provider specialising in vacuum systems and related equipment for manufacturing and high-technology industries. The company provides equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and technical support to customers, with a strong focus on equipment reliability and after-sales service.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of company equipment and components at customer sites.
• Conduct equipment inspection and identify mechanical, electrical and operational faults.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out appropriate corrective and repair works.
• Liaise with customers, engineers and internal teams regarding equipment performance, technical issues and service requirements.
• Perform equipment testing and ensure systems are operating according to required specifications.
• Assist with equipment start-up, calibration and functional testing where required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, schematics and equipment manuals to support installation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, checklists and other technical documentation.
• Provide customers with basic technical guidance on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Follow proper health, safety and environmental practices when working at customer sites.
• Perform other technical and ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Team Lead.

Requirements

• Nitec or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline .

• Candidates with 2 years of field service, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, installation or repair experience will be advantageous.

• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems will be an advantage.

• Familiarity with vacuum systems, pumps, motors, sensors, valves or industrial equipment will be an advantage.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics and basic single-line diagrams .

• Basic knowledge of electrical control systems, sensors, switches, motors and control panels will be advantageous.

• Able to use basic hand tools and electrical/mechanical testing equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable preparing service reports and documentation.
