Application Support Engineer - Renewable Contract

Location: Central Monday - Friday: 9AM - 6.15PM

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer and sales representatives’ enquiries regarding product specifications, capabilities and applications via phone and email.
• Troubleshoot technical issues remotely and on-site, identifying problems and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Conduct product application testing and demonstrate product functionality to customers and sales representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support, including system setup, configuration, adjustments and fine-tuning.
• Conduct post-sales application training and prepare or update relevant training manuals and documentation.
• Support sales representatives during customer visits and product presentations when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve departmental workflows and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and technical support standards.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to provide technical assistance.
• Familiarity with logic control, Microsoft Excel and industrial communication protocols such as Serial, Modbus TCP, Ethernet and EtherNet/IP.
• Basic knowledge of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) programming.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
