Quantity Surveyor M&E / P&S

Job Summary

Manage construction contract projects by vetting tender documents, preparing project costing, and coordinating stakeholders to ensure timely, quality execution within budget.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works at various project stages, including feasibility, design, and construction. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and monitoring of costs.

Tendering and Procurement:

• Prepare tender documents, including bill of quantities, specifications, and scope of work for M&E contracts.
• Evaluate tenders, conduct negotiations with contractors, and make recommendations for contract awards.

Contract Management:

• Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, and manage any variations or claims.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, final accounts, and related documentation to clients and contractors.

Cost Control and Reporting:

• Monitor project expenditures and performance against budgets, identifying any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide regular cost reports and financial forecasts to project management and stakeholders.

Site Visits and Assessments:

• Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality of work, and compliance with design specifications.
• Liaise with project teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to M&E works.

Required competencies and certifications

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) or Quantity Surveying
