We are looking for a professional with high attention to detail, analytical capacity, and a solid command of current technical regulations to lead the quality assurance and control processes in metallic infrastructure projects.

1. Fundamental Requirements

Education: Professional in Mechanical Engineering (with current professional license). Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of specific experience in heavy metallic structure manufacturing. Location: Reside in Bogotá (Immediate availability). Contract duration: 5 months (Work or labor).

2. Mandatory Technical Competencies

Regulations: Deep knowledge and practical application of the AWS D1.1 / D1.1 M:2020 standard, with specific emphasis on Clause 8 (Inspection). Welding Control: Supervision of processes (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW), verification of WPQR, WPS, and welder qualification (PQR). Dimensional Control: Handling of measurement instruments and verification of geometric tolerances in large-scale pieces. Software:

  • AutoCAD: Advanced level for interpretation and checking of shop drawings.
  • Microsoft Project: Intermediate level for monitoring production schedules and quality deliveries.

3. Main Responsibilities

Site Inspection: Perform dimensional control of manufactured elements ensuring compliance with design drawings. Quality Management: Execute and document welding inspection protocols according to the acceptance and rejection criteria of Clause 8 of the AWS D1.1. Quality Dossier: Compile and organize technical documentation, material certificates, and non-destructive testing reports (Dye Penetrant, Particles, etc.) for final delivery to the client. Monitoring: Coordinate with the production area to ensure that manufacturing times align with the schedule in MS Project.
