Smart Home Technician
Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced smart home technician. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining smart home systems and devices. This is a technical field role suited for candidates with practical expertise rather than a university-based engineering background.
The selected candidate will work directly on-site to support residential and/or commercial smart home projects and ensure high-quality system functionality and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Install, configure, and commission smart home systems and devices.
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades of installed systems.
Integrate and support various smart home technologies including:
Smart lighting systems
Smart switches and controls
Home automation platforms
Smart security and surveillance systems
Smart locks and access control
Audio/video and entertainment integration
Smart HVAC and environmental control systems
Conduct site inspections and technical assessments before installation.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and project standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to end users when required.
Coordinate with project teams and supervisors during execution.
Maintain accurate service reports and installation documentation.
Stay updated with emerging smart home technologies and industry practices.
Requirements
Education
Diploma in electrical, electronics, automation, telecommunications, or a related technical field is preferred.
University degree is not mandatory.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in smart home systems installation, maintenance, or technical support.
Mandatory: Previous working experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Proven hands-on experience with smart home technologies and integrated systems.
Experience in residential or commercial automation projects is preferred.
Technical skills
Strong knowledge of smart home devices and automation systems.
Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Understanding of low-current systems and structured cabling.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals and device connectivity.
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and system integration issues.
Ability to use installation and maintenance tools safely and effectively.

Ability to work on-site and travel within KSA if required.
