SSAB - Calibration Technician

As a calibration technician, you perform calibration of measuring instruments for temperature, length, force, and electricity. Development of calibration methods as well as documentation and reporting of calibration results are included in the tasks. Location Borlänge.

About the position The calibration laboratory performs calibration of the company's measuring instruments in Borlänge and is responsible for the company's measuring instrument register. We have a well-equipped laboratory at our disposal. The tasks include calibration of pyrometers, thermocouples, micrometers, calipers, measuring tapes, electrical measuring instruments, load cells, and portable gas detectors. The work also includes documentation and reporting of calibration results as well as administration of measuring instruments in the measuring instrument register. Calibrations are performed not only in the calibration laboratory but also on-site at the company's other laboratories. You will also work with troubleshooting, repair, and adjustment of faulty measuring instruments. Currently, three people work in the laboratory; people often work together to perform calibrations, but independent tasks also occur. Working hours are during the day.

Your qualifications A suitable background for the position is technical education, preferably in electrical and measurement technology, at least at high school level or equivalent knowledge gained through experience working with instruments and measurement technology. You must be proficient in English, both spoken and written, and have knowledge of quality work. Important personal qualities are good cooperation skills as well as the ability to work in a structured and precise manner.
