Part-Time Credit Controller & Administrator – 2 Vacancies

Location: Dunstable Hours: Part-time – flexible working patterns available Working pattern: Predominantly office based

We are recruiting for two part-time Credit Control / Accounts Administration professionals to join an established and successful business based in the Dunstable area.

These vacancies have arisen due to the planned retirement of two long-standing members of the team, and there is genuine flexibility around both the working hours and how the responsibilities are divided between the two successful candidates.

The business is therefore happy to consider experienced Credit Controllers, Accounts Assistants or strong Finance / Sales Office Administrators with credit control experience.

Depending on experience, responsibilities could include:

• Credit control and management of outstanding customer accounts
• Proactively contacting customers by telephone and email regarding payment
• Resolving invoice and account queries
• Maintaining accurate customer account information
• Supporting accounts payable and wider finance administration
• Processing orders and returns
• Liaising with the warehouse and other internal departments
• General sales office and administrative support

About you

Previous Credit Control experience is essential, although the business is open to candidates with broader accounts or sales administration experience who are comfortable supporting credit control for one of the roles.

Personality is particularly important.

You will need to be confident and comfortable picking up the phone and speaking with customers. You should be personable and able to build strong working relationships, while also being sufficiently assertive and persistent when outstanding payments need to be chased.

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be particularly advantageous. Alternatively, experience with Sage or another finance, ERP or stock-management system would be welcomed.

Hours & Salary

There is genuine flexibility around how these two part-time positions are structured.

The business is open to discussing different working patterns, including mornings, afternoons, school-friendly hours and four or five-day arrangements, depending on the experience and availability of the successful candidates.

The priority is finding two strong people who can collectively provide good coverage across the working week.

Salary is depending on experience, agreed hours and the balance of responsibilities. There is flexibility to accommodate both a stronger Credit Control profile and someone with broader accounts/administration experience.
