Senior System Architect / Lead System Architect Pega

Project Description

Join an international project being carried out for a client from the public sector, who has chosen the Pega platform as a key solution supporting their digitalization strategy.

The project started in a greenfield format and involves the implementation of a process that will ultimately be launched in approximately 150 countries. One of the most important elements of the solution is the comprehensive integration of all involved parties and systems. The first production launch is planned for the end of 2026, and as the project develops, the international delivery team is being systematically expanded.

In this position, you will join the team as a Senior System Architect (SSA) or Lead System Architect (LSA). You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced, enterprise solutions based on the Pega platform. In parallel, subsequent applications and projects are being prepared, which will be launched in the future. For individuals well-matched to the profile, there is also the possibility of participating in other current and upcoming international Pega projects, accordingly to experience and seniority level.

Daily tasks

• Designing, creating, and maintaining application components on the Pega platform.
• Implementing the full end-to-end case lifecycle, including the data model, REST/SOAP integration, business logic, and user interface.
• Ensuring solution compliance with Pega Guardrails, design patterns, and best practices.
• Participating in solution design, estimations, and refinement sessions.
• Conducting code reviews as well as providing technical support and mentoring to SAs and junior developers.
• Close cooperation with Business Architects, QA teams, and DevOps specialists.
• Participating in activities related to continuous improvement, DevOps practices, and the development of engineering standards.
• At the LSA level: providing architectural leadership, overseeing the technical direction, and supporting parallel project delivery streams.

Requirements

Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) or Lead System Architect (LSA) certification.

Minimum 7 years of practical experience in developing Pega solutions.

Documented experience in designing and creating enterprise Pega applications.

Very good knowledge of Pega 8.x, in particular: Case Types,

Flows,

UI,

Rules,

Data Pages.

Very good knowledge of integration using REST, SOAP, and file-based interfaces.

Experience with Pega Constellation will be an additional asset.

Languages English – minimum B2+.

German – welcome.

Additional assets Possession of a personal security clearance.

Experience in implementing projects for the public sector in Germany.

Experience working in large, international project teams.
