Full Stack Developer
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a long-term transformation project for a large international organisation.
The role combines modern front-end and back-end development with cloud-based data and application technologies. You will be responsible for building secure, enterprise-grade applications and supporting the implementation of reporting, data and workflow capabilities.
This is a fully remote opportunity, with the possibility of extension after the initial 6-month contract.
As a Full Stack Developer, you will work across both the application and data layers, contributing to the design, development and implementation of business-critical solutions.
You will collaborate closely with technical and data specialists, taking ownership of application development while working within an enterprise architecture and security framework.
The role will involve building user-facing applications, developing backend APIs, integrating with data platforms and implementing secure access and control mechanisms.
Daily tasks
- Design and develop modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build reusable and maintainable front-end components using HTML/CSS and component libraries such as Material UI.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Build and configure application functionality within a Databricks-based environment.
- Work with Databricks Apps as part of the application layer.
- Integrate front-end applications with backend services and data platforms.
- Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms.
- Work with OAuth 2.0, SSO, service principals and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Contribute to solution and technical design activities.
- Support environment and platform setup and configuration.
- Work with data models, data ingestion and integrations.
- Build application workflows and system-enabled controls.
- Support the development of reporting and business intelligence outputs.
- Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and regression testing.
- Support UAT and end-to-end testing activities.
- Work closely with technical, data and architecture stakeholders.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement of the solution.
Requirements
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
- Strong commercial experience with React.
- Strong experience with TypeScript.
- Strong experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience building APIs/services with FastAPI.
- Good understanding of modern web application architecture.
- Practical experience with enterprise authentication and authorisation.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0 and SSO.
- Understanding of RBAC and controlled access to enterprise applications.
- Experience working with user authentication and/or service-principal authentication.
- Ability to work across both front-end and back-end layers.
- Experience developing secure, production-grade applications.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and application integrations.

- Hands-on experience with Databricks Apps.
- Experience working with the Databricks platform.
- Experience with Material UI or another modern component library.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with data ingestion and data modelling.

- Experience with workflow-based applications.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
