Solutions Architect / Presales Engineer
Key Responsibilities End-to-End Solution Architecture: Partner with sales teams to lead technical discovery, gather requirements, and architect integrated solutions spanning core WAN, optical transport, and enterprise LAN/edge infrastructure.
Core Transport & Optical Mastery: Design high-availability optical and transport network topologies utilizing: DWDM / Optical Transport: High-capacity wavelength services, dark fibre topology, FlexGrid/ROADM optical architectures, and ultra-low latency optical pathing.
DCI & Metro-Ethernet: High-throughput data center interconnects, E-Line (P2P), and E-LAN (MP2MP) Layer 2 Ethernet connectivity.
IPVPN & Managed Internet: MPLS Layer 3 VPNs, multi-homed BGP routing, clean-pipe DDoS mitigation, and business internet delivered over SPTel’s Software-Defined Network.
Managed Edge & Enterprise Services Expertise: Architect fully managed enterprise solutions incorporating: SD-WAN: Software-defined overlay networks, dynamic path selection, multi-cloud connectivity, and centralized cloud orchestration.
Managed Security & Firewall: Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), unified threat management (UTM), zero-trust access control, and cloud security integrations.
Managed Enterprise Wi-Fi & Switching: High-density enterprise Wi-Fi 6/6E deployment models, cloud-managed access switches, stackable core switches, and PoE budgeting for enterprise premises.
RFP & Technical Bidding: Lead technical response strategies for enterprise RFPs, RFIs, and tenders. Author High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Bill of Materials (BOM), and detailed technical proposals.
Customer Presentation & POCs: Present solution architecture, network diversity models, and managed service SLAs to key enterprise stakeholders (CTOs, IT Directors, Infrastructure Managers). Direct and execute Proof-of-Concept (POC) demonstrations.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate with Product Management, Network Engineering, Implementation, and Service Operations to ensure smooth transition from presales design to post-sales deployment and managed support.
