Job Description: The Methods Technician converts plans and customer specifications into technical data for the workshop and determines manufacturing processes to optimize production resources. They ensure the technical link between the customer and the workshop. They are responsible for optimizing various tasks by including all parameters: regulatory standards, quality (ensuring parts conform to the plan), costs (cost price), and deadlines.

Your main missions:

  • Define and formalize product manufacturing processes
  • Study and determine part clamping/workholding
  • Study and determine adequate packaging
  • Define tool frequency
  • Compile manufacturing technical files
  • Support the production of pre-series and the start of product industrialization
  • Ensure the monitoring and optimization of the manufacturing process: series life: monitor technical files and evolve them
  • Guarantee technological monitoring (supplier link)
  • Optimize work organization
  • Optimize return on investment
  • Validation of the cost price
  • Design and create monitoring and analysis tools (dashboards, graphs...)
  • Select suppliers (cutting and abrasive tools, subcontractors and service providers)
  • Recommend production monitoring
  • Provide technical support to the workshop as well as to support services

Technical skills:

  • Mastery of technical English
  • Ability to study and determine manufacturing processes (turning/milling)
  • Knowledge of machine technologies, cutting tools, cutting conditions, materials, heat treatments, surface treatments, and NDT
  • Follow production forecast programs
  • Ability to interpret evolutions in customer data
  • Integrate problem-solving methods and tools
  • Comply with Quality, Hygiene, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards and rules
