Activities Assistant – Part Time - Afternoon Shift
Your tasks
- Assist with daily activities and resident engagement throughout the community.
- Encourage residents to attend and participate in programs through room visits and friendly reminders.
- Provide support during group activities to help residents feel included and successful.
- Lead small-group and one-on-one activities designed to engage residents with memory loss or cognitive challenges.
- Work with the Activities Director and Nursing team to identify residents who may benefit from additional engagement.
- Help create a positive, caring, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Requirements
- Experience working with memory care residents or individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience as an Activities Assistant, Activity Aide, CNA, caregiver, or similar role in senior living or assisted living preferred.
- Dementia care training or certification, such as Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Dementia Care Specialist, or a related dementia training certificate, is a plus but not required.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable engaging residents individually and in groups.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.

Schedule
- Part-time
- Monday–Friday: Approximately 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Flexibility to work occasional Sundays preferred.
