About Spirii

Spirii was founded in Copenhagen in 2019 with one goal: to make EV charging simple. Today, our software helps charge point operators and businesses in more than 22 markets run and grow their charging networks. Since 2024, we have been part of the Edenred Group, which gives us strong support and a close link to company fleets across Europe. Our next chapter is eMSP, and we are looking for the person to lead it.

Position Overview

The Commercial Director eMSP will lead Spirii's commercial strategy and execution for our eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) platform across our priority European markets (Denmark/Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, France, and Italy). As part of the sales leadership team, you will build and scale our eMSP business, serving as the commercial counterpart to our Mobility Product Director. This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who can develop new markets, close complex deals with fleet operators and mobility service providers, and establish Spirii as a leading eMSP competitor.

You will build a new dedicated eMSP sales team while collaborating closely with existing regional sales managers who sell eMSP as an adjacency to CPMS, and partnering with product and operations teams to deliver integrated mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Spirii's eMSP product line across priority markets

Define market segmentation, go-to-market approach, and competitive positioning for Spirii's focus markets

Serve as the commercial voice in eMSP governance, partnering with the Mobility Product Director

Contribute to product roadmap prioritization based on market insights and customer needs

Establish revenue targets, pricing strategies, and business models for eMSP offerings

Report progress, pipeline, and strategic recommendations to the Chief Sales Officer

Represent Spirii eMSP at industry events, conferences, and with strategic partners

Business Development & Market Intelligence

Lead business development activities including mapping the eMSP ecosystem and understanding market movements

Identify and qualify leads across priority European markets

Build strategic relationships with fleet operators, leasing companies, retailers, and mobility providers

Lead pursuit of major tenders requiring eMSP capabilities

Develop partnership strategies with roaming networks, charge point operators, and technology providers

Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends in EV roaming and mobility services

Generate qualified pipeline and convert opportunities to closed deals

Sales Team Leadership & Execution

Build, lead, and develop a high-performing eMSP BD and sales team

Personally close complex, strategic eMSP deals with C-level stakeholders

Enable and support existing regional sales managers on eMSP specifics in their business deals

Establish sales processes, methodologies, and enablement programs for eMSP

Develop proposal templates, business cases, and ROI models for eMSP solutions

Achieve/exceed annual revenue and customer acquisition targets

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Mobility Product Director to align commercial needs with product development

Collaborate with Roaming Operations team on customer success, issue resolution, and support

Work with Finance on reconciliation processes, margin control, and pricing strategies

Coordinate with Marketing on product marketing support for launch and go-to-market activities

Align with Chief Sales Officer and sales leadership on integrated CPMS+eMSP strategies

Engage with Legal on contract negotiations and deal structuring

Provide market feedback to inform technical and operational priorities

Required Qualifications

Experience:

8+ years in B2B sales or business development, with at least 3 years in leadership roles

Proven track record in the EV charging, mobility services, fleet management, or energy sectors

Experience selling complex SaaS or platform solutions to enterprise customers

Demonstrated success building and scaling new business lines or products

Experience operating across multiple European markets (particularly Denmark/Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, France, Italy)

Track record of consistently achieving/exceeding revenue targets (€3M+ ARR)

Knowledge & Skills:

Deep understanding of the EV charging ecosystem, including eMSP, CPMS, and roaming protocols (OCPI, OICP)

Knowledge of fleet electrification trends and fleet operator business models

Strong commercial acumen with ability to develop pricing strategies and business models

Excellent stakeholder management and C-level selling skills

Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability

Proven ability to build and lead small, high-performing teams

Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
