London | Hybrid | Permanent A leading independent media agency is looking for a Digital Strategy Director to help clients drive growth through innovative digital, data and technology strategies.

The Opportunity An excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded independent media agency in a senior leadership role, shaping digital strategy, building senior client relationships and contributing to agency growth.

Your tasks

This is a senior strategic role focused on working with clients to identify growth opportunities, develop long-term transformation plans and connect media, data, technology, AI and measurement. The successful candidate will also play a key role in new business pitches and developing new consultancy propositions.

• Lead digital strategy and transformation roadmaps for key clients, setting clear long-term growth plans.
• Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, influencing business decisions beyond the traditional media brief.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop strategic recommendations across digital media, data, technology, AI and measurement.
• Lead client workshops and strategic planning sessions, turning complex challenges into actionable solutions.
• Drive digital strategy for major new business pitches, developing compelling recommendations and propositions.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through expanded scopes, consultancy and new products.
• Work collaboratively with planning, analytics, activation, data, technology and commercial teams.
• Develop strategic frameworks, tools and audits to strengthen agency capabilities and deliver value to clients.
• Keep up to date with developments in digital platforms, commerce, retail media and AI.

Requirements

• Significant senior-level experience in digital media or data strategy.
• Strong understanding of paid media, data, technology, AI and measurement.
• Proven experience advising senior clients on business challenges and developing long-term strategic roadmaps.
• Experience leading digital strategy for major pitches and high-profile client engagements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for client and agency growth.
• Experience leading and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• An analytical mindset, with experience in measurement, experimentation and demonstrating business impact.
• The ability to develop scalable strategic frameworks, tools and propositions.
