Your tasks

About the assignment Are you ready to combine commercial expertise with technology and strategic procurement?

We are seeking an IT Buyer for a one-year contract position. You will play a central role in the work of ensuring efficient procurement, strong supplier relationships, and good commercial agreements.

In close collaboration with IT teams, project managers, subject matter experts, and suppliers, you will contribute to developing and improving IT procurement across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT procurement processes and negotiate commercial terms with existing and new suppliers.
• Support IT projects with market insight, requirement clarifications, and the development of procurement strategies.
• Prepare, quality assure, and follow up on contracts throughout the entire agreement period.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and contribute to the commercial management of the IT portfolio.
• Map, structure, and consolidate IT agreements across the organization.
• Improve procurement processes, working methods, and associated system support.

Requirements

• Higher education in economics, procurement, IT, or equivalent. Relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
• Experience with procurement, negotiations, and supplier follow-up.
• Experience with procurement processes, preferably within ICT.
• Understanding of IT-related products, services, or projects.
• Good commercial understanding and the ability to assess needs, risks, and costs.
• Good oral and written skills in Norwegian and English.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance.
