About the company

Spencer Clarke Tutors is seeking experienced and compassionate SEND Outreach Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition and educational support to learners across Durham.

Your tasks

You will work with students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, school avoidance, and EHCP-supported learners, helping them re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

• Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and other subjects.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND requirements.
• Support academic progress, confidence, and engagement.
• Provide session feedback and progress updates.

Requirements

• Experience working with SEND learners.
• Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or education support experience.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
