Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential?
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Eccles. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
- Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties and other additional needs.
- Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs and abilities.
- Promote confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals.
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
- A patient, compassionate and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to remain calm, adaptable and supportive.
- Previous experience in a school, specialist provision, care setting or youth work environment is desirable.
