PE Teacher

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a secondary school on the Fylde Coast who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave from January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PE Teacher or an ECT looking for a long-term position within a supportive secondary school environment.

The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching a range of sporting activities and disciplines.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and participation.
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, fixtures and school sport where required.

We are looking for a PE Teacher who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching PE within a secondary school.
• Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for sport and physical education.
• Can deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
• Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
• Works well as part of a wider PE department.
