Spencer Clarke Tutors | Flexible 1:1 Tuition Pay: £25-£30 per hour Location: Newton-le-Willows Hours: Flexible, depending on learner needs Contract: Part-time Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking enthusiastic Tutors in Newton-le-Willows to support children and young people through personalised, 1:1 tuition. Working with schools and Local Authorities, we provide tailored education for pupils who need additional support, are falling behind or are currently outside mainstream education.

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.

Your tasks

  • Deliver 1:1 tuition to primary and secondary pupils.
  • Support Maths, English, literacy and numeracy.
  • Adapt lessons to individual learning needs.
  • Help pupils build confidence and make progress.
  • Record attendance and provide session feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Teaching qualification, tutoring experience or relevant educational background.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can provide a link to apply if needed).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have legal right to work in the UK
  • You must be willing to attend a registration interview

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
