Regional HR Manager

Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR operations across the region, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Partner with regional managers on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and retention.
- Oversee recruitment for regional and key operational roles, including technical, engineering, and oil and gas–related positions.
- Provide practical advice to managers on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance issues, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws, statutory requirements, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Oversee monthly payroll processing with payroll vendors, Finance, and local HR teams; review payroll inputs, salary changes, allowances, overtime, leave, bonuses, and statutory deductions.
- Ensure payroll and employee records are accurate, confidential, and maintained in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Oversee employee benefits, leave administration, compensation-related queries, and annual salary-review processes.
- Identify training needs and manage regional onboarding, mandatory training, leadership development, and employee-development programmes.
- Manage the regional training plan, budget, completion records, and training reports.
- Prepare regular HR reports on headcount, turnover, recruitment, payroll, training, absenteeism, and employee relations matters.
- Support organisational change, new-site set-up, restructuring, and other regional HR projects as required.
- Lead and develop local HR team members, where applicable.
Requirements
- Master or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years of HR experience, including experience in an HR Manager, HRBP, or multi-site HR role.
- Proven experience in the oil and gas, energy, engineering sector is required.
- Experience managing HR operations across multiple locations or countries is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of employee relations, employment legislation, payroll processes, recruitment, and training.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Able to handle confidential information and sensitive employee matters professionally.
- Willingness to travel within the region when required.
