*Job Description:*

We are looking to hire an experienced full-time *Operations Supervisor *for our London, Ontario terminal. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating day-to-day warehouse/office operations, to make certain of a best practices approach. _NB: This role embodies an exceptional career opportunity for a person familiar with a variety of transportation vehicles, equipment, service requirements, and transport legislation._

*Shift: *

Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM ? 11:30 PM

*Duties & Responsibilities:*

• Handing out & distributing assignments to the warehouse staff.
• Coaching and counselling warehouse staff to overcome any barriers affecting productivity.
• Ensure that the warehouse/office is adequately staffed and that personnel are properly trained to carry out their work in a safe and competent manner.
• Work with the employees to ensure a safe work environment consistent with relevant legislation and company policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, budget targets and contribute to the growth of the company in a pro-active manner.
• Work closely with customer service to provide the best possible service for our customers.
• Manage fleet operation as needed
• Assess performance of staff and fleet as needed
• Handle customer inquiries as needed
• Ensure highest overall service standards are met and maintained.
• All other duties as assigned by Management.

*Qualifications:*

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience ? leading people, product scheduling etc.
• Well-organized, punctual, and computer literate?with an emphasis on spreadsheets and email applications.
• Previous experience within the Warehouse/Transportation/Logistics Industry.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to achieve operational goals.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle several complex tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to take ownership of issues and problem analysis, decision making and resolution.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with other staff.
