We are looking for a Python Architect to join a team implementing a long-term project for a Norwegian client from the financial industry – could it be you? 🔎 The project concerns the development of a specialized, cloud-based solution for process and workflow management, created with accounting firms and financial sector specialists in mind. You will work holistically on the entire solution – both on the development of new functionalities, as well as the further maintenance and development of existing system elements. As a Python Architect, you will be responsible for the architectural direction of the solution, supporting long-term technological decision-making, and bridging the business, product, and technical perspectives.

Daily tasks

• defining and developing the overall system architecture in accordance with product and business goals,
• translating business needs into a clear architectural direction and technological priorities,
• close cooperation with business, product, and development teams at the early stages of solution design,
• reviewing key design decisions, identifying risks, and supporting teams in making the right technological trade-offs,
• ensuring consistency, scalability, and quality of the architecture within the system and collaborating teams,
• supporting development teams through architectural consultations, mentoring, and assistance in solving complex problems,
• co-creating technological roadmaps and ensuring their alignment with business and product priorities,
• coordinating agreements between teams and leading discussions regarding complex or conflicting requirements,
• ensuring high quality of implemented solutions and technical details,
• occasional trips to Norway or our office in Gdańsk for project meetings and events.

Requirements

We are looking for you if you can boast: experience in a Software Architect / Solution Architect role, expert knowledge of Python, very good knowledge of Django 4.2, including Django Rest Framework, Django Filters, and Celery, practical experience with Django ORM, data model design, and making decisions regarding data structure and storage methods, very good knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in database optimization, queries, and data access methods, experience in designing solutions with a focus on system performance, scalability, and reliability, very good understanding of microservices architecture, experience in designing the architecture of complex systems and making long-term technological decisions, the ability to combine business, product, and technological perspectives, experience in collaborating with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, very good analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems, knowledge of Git and experience working with GitHub, experience working with cloud infrastructure, knowledge of CI/CD processes, very good command of the English language (at C1 level) You will be an ideal candidate for us if you additionally possess: experience with AWS Fargate,
