Your tasks

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer who will take technical responsibility for creating a modern AI platform for one of the leaders in the veterinary software market in Poland – could it be you? 🔎 This is a role with full technical ownership. You will be responsible for architecture, implementation, code quality, and system deployment, intensively utilizing Claude Code and AI agents to accelerate development. We are looking for someone who can independently deliver end-to-end solutions, consciously simplify architecture, and verify the quality of code generated by AI.

• designing and building the backend in Python,
• implementing a REST API to enable platform integration with client systems,
• integration with Anthropic and OpenAI models and implementation of functionalities related to text, voice, and image processing,
• development of modules enabling the creation, testing, versioning, and publishing of AI functions and prompts by business users,
• implementation of A/B testing mechanisms for AI models, monitoring usage, costs, and call telemetry,
• intensive use of Claude Code and AI agents to accelerate development, while maintaining control over architecture and code quality,
• verification, refactoring, and testing of code generated with AI support,
• independent management of the repository, version control, deployment process, and subsequent application releases,
• ensuring the security, stability, performance, and maintainability of the developed solution,
• analyzing requirements and proposing simplifications to deliver business value without unnecessary architectural expansion,
• direct collaboration with the client in refining requirements, presenting progress, and making key technical decisions,
• diagnosing and solving problems, and preparing the system for further maintenance and development.

Requirements

We are looking for you if you can boast

• very good knowledge of Python and experience in creating backends, REST API, and integrations with external services,
• very good knowledge of Claude Code and practical experience in the intensive use of AI agents to create and develop software,
• the ability to organize work in an AI-assisted development model, including generating, analyzing, testing, and refactoring code created by agents,
• experience in integrating applications with LLM API, e.g., Anthropic or OpenAI,
• good knowledge of PostgreSQL and designing data structures,
• experience in application containerization and preparing solutions for production deployment,
• experience in independent repository management, code versioning, deployment processes, and application releases,
• the ability to design solutions considering quality, security, performance, and further maintainability,
• the ability to critically evaluate requirements and propose simpler, more efficient technical solutions,
• high degree of independence, responsibility for results, and the ability to organize your own work,
• very good communication skills and fluency in talking to clients about technical decisions and project progress,
• very good knowledge of the English language (at C1 level).

You will be an ideal candidate for us if additionally

• you have experience in application architecture design and independent technical decision-making,
• you have experience in creating production applications using Generative AI / LLM,
• you have worked with multimodal data processing, e.g., speech-to-text, text-to-speech, image or document analysis,
• you have experience in designing systems for prompt management, prompt versioning, or comparing AI models,
• you are familiar with issues related to LLM observability, metering, token usage, and optimizing model call costs,
• you have experience in building MVP products and making decisions that limit unnecessary solution complexity,
