The trainee will be guided directly by the Director and will be exposed to day-to-day business development operations, partnership coordination, outlet performance support, and compliance matters relevant to restaurant business.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities related to Izakaya operations.
- Conduct market observation on customer preferences, entertainment trends, and competitor activities within the industry.
- Support the development of promotional concepts, themed events, and collaboration ideas suitable for club and Izakaya settings.
- Coordinate with external vendors, performers, and service providers for events, entertainment programs, and outlet activities.
- Prepare business proposals, concept briefs, and presentation materials for management review.
- Monitor outlet operations from a business development perspective to identify areas for improvement or expansion.
- Assist in planning outlet expansion, renovation concepts, or new offerings.
- Support the Director in managing partnerships with alcohol suppliers, food partners.
- Ensure business activities align with licensing requirements, restaurant regulations, and operational guidelines.
- Compile reports on business initiatives, industry developments, and outcomes for internal discussion.
- Participate in management meetings to provide input on operational improvements and customer engagement strategies.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Izakaya-style business operations.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer behavior within hospitality and entertainment environments.
- Competency in preparing business proposals, concept notes, and operational reports.
- Knowledge of basic licensing, compliance, and regulatory requirements for for buisness.
- Good coordination and communication skills for working with vendors and external partners.
- Ability to plan and organize entertainment activities and promotional initiatives.
- Practical problem-solving skills applied to real operational challenges.
- Proficiency in basic office software for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
- Ability to follow management direction closely and execute tasks according to business needs.
Duration of Traineeship/Attachment Offered - 6 months
Mature Mid Career Individuals - $3,300
