Product and Consumer Knowledge Manager

Location: Bedford The Vacancy Swiss Precision Diagnostics (SPD) is a world leader in the research, design and supply of advanced consumer diagnostic products. We are looking for a Product and Consumer Knowledge Manager to join our Quality and Customer Assurance team on a full-time, permanent contract . The role will be based at our Innovation Centre in Bedford, UK with an option for hybrid working. The Product and Consumer Knowledge Manager leads SPD’s Product and Consumer Knowledge Capability , transforming consumer intelligence, product performance data and post-market insights into actionable recommendations that drive innovation, product improvement and business growth. Reporting to the Global Quality and Customer Assurance Director, the role acts as the voice of the consumer, ensuring insights are embedded throughout the product lifecycle. The role provides expert leadership and guidance on post-market surveillance, complaint management and consumer intelligence activities , supporting the identification of unmet consumer needs, product risks and opportunities for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consumer and product experiences inform product development, lifecycle management and business decision-making. The role also leads the development of SPD’s Product and Consumer Knowledge Strategy , including the adoption of digital and AI-enabled technologies that improve insight generation, reporting and knowledge management. The role is responsible for ensuring robust processes, governance and systems are in place to capture, analyse and share product and consumer intelligence across the organisation. We're looking for someone with a degree in Life Sciences , Human Factors or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) and significant experience within regulated diagnostic, medical device or digital health industries . Candidates should have strong knowledge of ISO 13485, post-market surveillance, complaint handling and risk management processes, together with experience analysing consumer and product performance data to generate meaningful insights and drive improvement. Experience leading teams, influencing product development decisions and driving change within regulated environments would be highly advantageous. Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that improve products, consumer outcomes and business performance.
