Licensing & Permit Manager (Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Construction)
Our client is a leading APAC project and construction management firm specialising in life sciences, R&D, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, backed by major global institutional investors. As their regional pipeline grows, they are looking to bring on a Permitting Manager to support a significant upcoming build.
About the role
You'll own the regulatory approval pathway for a complex, regulated facility build, acting as the bridge between the project team and government agencies to keep construction timelines on track.
What you'll be doing
- Securing and tracking all permits and approvals required for construction and facility operation
- Navigating local and national regulatory requirements, including environmental, biosafety, and facility certification processes
- Managing documentation and liaising directly with relevant government agencies
- Working closely with design, construction, and project management teams to prevent permitting from becoming a bottleneck
- Troubleshooting and resolving permitting obstacles as they arise
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in construction/infrastructure permitting, ideally within a regulated facility environment (pharma, biotech, semiconductor, or similar)
- Comfort navigating regulatory processes across more than one APAC jurisdiction is a strong plus
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work credibly with both government agencies and internal project teams
- Track record of keeping permitting on pace with live construction timelines
