At Southwark, we're transforming how we use technology and data to deliver better outcomes for our communities. We're looking for a talented Product Owner, Data and Platforms to join our Digital and Resident Experience team and help shape the future of data across the council.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the delivery of technology and data-related programmes and projects across the council
• Working with stakeholders to understand service challenges and identify opportunities to improve outcomes through better use of data
• Developing and managing product roadmaps, priorities and delivery plans
• Supporting the development and adoption of Southwark's Modern Data Platform and Power BI capabilities
• Bringing together and modelling data from multiple sources to create meaningful insights
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influencing strategic decision-making
• Managing programme governance, risks, resources and reporting arrangements
• Driving continuous improvement in data management, data quality and organisational data maturity

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative professional who can combine strong product ownership skills with experience of delivering data and technology change.

You will have:

• Experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar delivery-focused role
• Experience delivering data, digital or technology-related programmes and projects
• Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics and reporting technologies
• Experience managing multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Strong communication and influencing abilities
• A proactive approach to problem solving and service improvement
• The ability to work effectively in a complex organisational environment
