Your tasks

The objective of the position is to ensure all types of technical "network" and/or "security" tasks on the recurring activity of the contract, but also to take charge of the management and monitoring of specific projects.

As a WAN Network Engineer, you will

• Ensure MCO & technical support for networks and security N1/2/2+
• Analyze network needs (flow matrices and diagrams)
• Perform and review patches
• Perform lab tests
• Provide support to the centers
• Write documentation (Updating DCD / DCG / DAT / DAE / technical sheets, procedures, …)
• Perform regular reporting to the activity pilot and update tracking tools and internal operations (Redmine)
• Be proactive in providing advice and expertise both internally within the contract and to the client
• Follow client "administrative" processes (use of charters, uploading documents to GED, storage organization, …)
• Participate in meetings (workload plan, projects, MCO, transverse activity …)
• Communicate: email responses, taking into account specific requests, providing relevant technical answers…
• Be a source of proposals

Your responsibilities

• Know how to provide a relevant technical response
• Communicate progress on tasks
• Maintain high-quality communication with internal / client / AMOA / Centers
• Report task progress
• Update action tracking
• Update the "Registry" file for the documentation part
• Know how to quickly alert the activity pilot and share elements internally
• Assurance and professionalism in the face of risks and incident management
• Be attentive and respect set deadlines
• Reactivity in handling tasks or client requests

Requirements

Technical mastery of WAN networks is essential to understand the challenges and respond appropriately to client requests

Your technical knowledge

• Mastery of different network and security architectures
• Network knowledge: cabling, IP protocol and addressing, Ethernet protocol and addressing, VLAN, IP Routing, MPLS and VPN, Multicast
• Good ability to acquire and adapt to the client's functioning and organization
• Good ability to assimilate knowledge, processes, and internal and client tools
• Good writing skills: synthesis and clarity of statements, Formalism and graphic charters, Network diagrams (Visio)
• Good understanding of project management

A graduate with a Bac+5 from an Engineering school or equivalent, you have at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.

Your English level is operational.

You are autonomous, rigorous, and pragmatic.

You also have a good sense of service and client relations.

You have good knowledge of JUNIPER / CISCO / HP equipment.

JUNIPER/CISCO and HP certifications would be a plus. As well as knowledge of Alcatel and Avaya (Nortel) equipment would be a plus.
