You will join Sopra Steria within the Digital Platform Services entity, with a dynamic team in a stimulating environment.

Your tasks
Depending on the missions entrusted to you, you may work within internal Sopra Steria teams in Managed Services type engagements or be directly integrated into client teams. You will be supported by a dynamic team that will involve you actively in the project as a whole.
Your role and missions Within a RUN team in charge of infrastructure construction, you are the technical referent on DataBase aspects.
As a DBA / Database Engineer, you:
- Are in charge of database installation within a team tasked with building (Build) or upgrading (upgrade) client infrastructure and maintaining the security and operational condition of the infrastructure.
- Work in a VMWare, Windows, Nutanix, and Linux system environment.
- Are an active player in security challenges.
- Install databases according to standards: Oracle (on premise stand alone), Postgresql, MSSql.
- Perform upgrades (export/import).
- Manage users.
- Are in charge of database backup/restore.
- Write technical documentation.
- Install DBs in clusters (RAC/Galera/Always one).
- Maintain the operational condition of databases.
- Write documentation for major database version upgrades.
- Participate in on-call shifts (HNO or public holidays).
- Apply security procedures.
- Advise on security procedures for the database part.
- Maintain the security condition of databases (regular patching of minor versions).
Requirements
Your technical knowledge
- DB: Oracle/Postgresql/MSSql/
- Install a kernel
- Create a DB/Instance
- Backup (physical and logical)
- N2 Administration
- OS: Linux & Windows knowledge (database administration actions)
- Ansible
- Read and understand a playbook
- Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, python)
A graduate with a Master's degree (Bac+5) from an Engineering school or equivalent, you have at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
Your English level is operational.
You are autonomous, rigorous, and pragmatic.
You also have a good sense of service and client relations.
