About the Organization/Team
Our team is responsible for royalty accounting operations related to game titles at Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. We consist of approximately 7 members in Japan and approximately 22 members globally, including teams in the UK and US, and we drive our operations while collaborating closely with counterparts in each region.
This is an environment where you can play a vital role in supporting the gaming business while gaining a global perspective through collaboration with our Western bases. About This Position
This is a position where you will perform accurate accounting and tax processing for royalties and partner transactions related to game titles based on contract terms, and execute tasks in accordance with closing and payment schedules.
While collaborating with stakeholders both domestically and internationally, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks such as royalty-related operations, accounting/tax responses, and audit support.
Main Responsibilities
Royalty calculation/payment and issuance of royalty statements
Accounting and tax processing related to joint marketing and support for overseas game creators
Preparation of vouchers, contracts, and tax-related documents
Audit support and tax audit response
Regular collaboration with Western bases, business teams, system teams, and accounting/tax teams
Continuous proposals and implementation of improvements in daily operations

Through collaboration with overseas bases, including the US and Europe, you can gain experience in an international business environment.
In connection with your duties, there are opportunities for business trips to attend regular summits and project meetings held globally.
In the future, through job rotation, there is a possibility that you will be in charge of a wide range of areas in accounting, tax, and finance operations.
Required Skills and Experience
Mandatory Requirements
Practical experience in accounting/bookkeeping at an operating company or audit firm, etc. (3+ years)
Practical experience using English
Practical experience in accounting operations using ERP
Proficiency in performing tasks using Excel
Preferred Requirements
Experience using SAP (including S/4HANA)
Knowledge or practical experience regarding taxation (withholding tax, verifying tax treaties, responding to tax audits, etc.)
Practical accounting experience regarding royalty (royalties/license fees) calculation or revenue share
Experience in promoting business process improvement or automation
Language Skills
Business-level English proficiency
