Role: Hardware Verification Engineer

As the Hardware Verification Engineer, you will:

• Ensure that the functionality of Sonova hardware solutions meets its specifications, safety and reliability.
• Plan, execute, and maintain comprehensive verification activities throughout the product lifecycle
• Ensure that testing practices are compliant with best practices and Sonova’s standard operating procedures

More about the role

• Develop, validate and maintain the test methods, test instructions and test case collection for the product
• Execute verification tests on Sonova hardware solutions according to test instructions
• Analyze and evaluate test results and document results in technical reports in English. Deliver product’s test documentation
• Analyze test data, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions with the proper stakeholders
• Know and follow applicable standards according to the list of applicable standards.
• Guarantee regular exchange with Test Managers, Team Lead, team members and other teams (incl. other sites and external partners).
• Contribute to interdisciplinary development and verification teams, participate in the team rituals and actively foster collaboration with colleagues
• Conducts risk assessments in collaboration with stakeholders and defines test cases for risk based testing and risk mitigation
• Support the hiring process and onboarding for new hires, act as primary contact person for new hires

More about you

• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 3-6 years of work experience in verifying and testing electronic hardware
• Proven track record in hardware testing and engineering
• Good knowledge of Python, Arduino
• Practical knowledge in troubleshooting electronic devices (soldering, gluing, drilling of micro electromechanical devices)
