Revenue Analyst, Order to Cash
Who is Sonar? Sonar enables organizations to ship agentic code with confidence. Code creation is abundant, but confidence is scarce. Our core platform, SonarQube, verifies over 750 billion lines of code every day, delivering agentic verification and governance for all code. Trusted by more than 7 million developers and 75% of the Fortune 100, including teams at Nvidia, ServiceNow, Booking.com, Goldman Sachs, AstraZeneca, and Ford Motor Company, Sonar enables organizations to reduce outages, improve security, and lower the cost and risk of agentic software development.
Founded in Geneva and now headquartered in Austin, Texas, Sonar has a global team working across offices and hubs, including Silicon Valley, London, Bochum, Barcelona, Singapore, Tokyo, and the Washington, D.C. area. At Sonar, we’re enabling enterprises to build agentic software factories that can move quickly while maintaining the control, consistency and evidence required to ship with confidence.
Position description We are hiring an O2C Revenue Analyst to support the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data flowing through Sonar’s order-to-cash and revenue accounting processes. This role focuses on extracting, transforming, validating, and loading Salesforce CPQ data into Aptitude RevStream (AREV), investigating data exceptions, and reconciling billing information to the revenue subledger. Working closely with Revenue Accounting, Billing Operations, and BizTech, you will apply strong data processing skills, advanced Excel capabilities, SQL reporting knowledge, and hands-on AREV experience to support monthly and quarterly closes. You will help investigate transactions requiring additional calculations or system configuration, with accounting conclusions and configuration changes reviewed by the appropriate process owners. This role will also strengthen team coverage through cross-training, clear process documentation, and knowledge sharing. Your work will help reduce reliance on individual process owners, improve data quality and controls, and build a more efficient and scalable revenue processing workflow. What you will do Extract Salesforce CPQ and billing data, clean and transform datasets, validate completeness and accuracy, and prepare and load data inputs. Reconcile billing data, investigate differences, and maintain supporting schedules and evidence for monthly and quarterly closes. Investigate and resolve recurring data exceptions, including upgrades, amendments, prorated transactions, and multi-year agreements, in partnership with Revenue Accounting and Billing Operations. Support additional calculations, product configuration, and revenue recognition rule testing, following established accounting guidance, approval requirements, and change controls. Develop and maintain SQL reports and Excel-based transformations, mappings, and validation checks to identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrectly classified data. Identify opportunities to use automation, technology, and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual work while maintaining appropriate review and controls. Prepare clear data lineage, reconciliation support, and process documentation for internal reviews and external audits. Experience and qualifications The ideal candidate will have: 4+ years of strong hands-on experience in O2C data operations, revenue systems, data processing, or data engineering, preferably in a software or subscription-based business. Strong attention to detail and the ability to document repeatable procedures, communicate technical issues clearly, and cross-train colleagues. The ability to work on-site, collaborate across Finance and BizTech, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced close environment. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Experience using Aptitude RevStream, SFDC, NetSuite and Stripe is preferred.
In-office culture We're intentional about this. We believe the best teams are built in the room together. Three anchor days — Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays — create the collaboration rhythm that makes a hub office worth having. Candidates need to be genuinely based in the location the role is posted — if that's not where you are today, we're happy to support relocation for the right person.
