Our client is a medium-sized manufacturer of special-purpose machines that has continuously evolved since its founding over 30 years ago and today operates very successfully internationally. The company serves international customers in microelectronics, photovoltaics, automotive, life science, etc. For the headquarters in Southern Germany, we are now looking, as part of further expansion, at the earliest possible date for "doers" as the future

Head of Product Management (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

In this position, you will lead and manage an established team of Product Managers who are themselves responsible for defined product lines or applications: You will have overall responsibility for the product lifecycle and the further development of the complete product portfolio from technical and commercial perspectives in coordination with the strategic requirements of the GF; You are responsible for market, competitor, and trend monitoring ("Technological Roadmap"); You will create the corresponding SWOT analyses; You will visit international customers and design the relevant trade fairs; You will work closely with Sales, R&D, Production, and Application and coordinate the corresponding sub-projects with these specialist departments; You will report directly to the GF.

Your knowledge:

As our ideal candidate, you are a mechanical engineer or have received comparable training and have already been able to gain international experience in product management in high-tech machine construction. Here you have become acquainted with the relevant (sub-)markets and now, as the next career step, wish to grow into a decision-maker position and are ready to take on the associated responsibility.

Personally, you are an assertive team player and communicator who can grasp complex issues analytically and describe them understandably. We require that you bring leadership experience, that you are proficient in spoken and written English, and that you are fully prepared to travel.
