About the Company: We are a leading infrastructure contractor with a proven track record of delivering flagship engineering projects across the region. Due to the award of a major new road project in Dubai, we have an urgent requirement for a talented and driven Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.
Position Overview: This is an ideal role for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to step up, or an established Mid-Level QS. You will manage a balanced portfolio of both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities. Based on-site/offices near the Dubai/Sharjah border, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of a large-scale roads and bridges project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Contract: Assist with estimation, tendering, cost planning, and the preparation of comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Post-Contract: Manage interim payment applications, variations, cost reporting, sub-contractor accounts, and final account settlements.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures against budgets, identifying potential variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Contract Administration: Review contract clauses, manage commercial correspondence, and assist in evaluating claims and extensions of time (EOT).
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with project managers, site engineers, sub-contractors, and client representatives to ensure commercial alignment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Around 5 years of UAE experience with an infrastructure contractor.
- Skills: Proven track record in Civil, Roads, and Bridges projects covering pre- and post-contract work.
- Availability: Currently UAE-based, within commutable distance, and able to start on short notice.
