Company: Leading UAE Civil & Infrastructure Contractor

Our client is a leading UAE Civil & Infrastructure Contractor with an established track record of delivering major engineering and infrastructure projects across the region. They are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their pre-contracts team in Dubai, supporting the tendering and pricing of major civil and infrastructure projects.

Your tasks

This position involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil and infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, bridges, utilities, drainage, earthworks and associated civil works. Working closely with the engineering, procurement and commercial teams, the Estimator will support the tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission, taking responsibility for quantity take-offs, cost build-ups, subcontractor pricing and the preparation of detailed tender estimates.

• Estimating & Tendering: Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQ), preparing detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Quantity Take-Offs & Pricing: Undertake detailed measurements and prepare cost build-ups covering labour, materials, plant, equipment and subcontractor works.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Evaluation: Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring pricing is accurate and commercially competitive.
• Cost Analysis & Risk: Identify tender risks, exclusions, assumptions and potential cost implications, supporting value engineering and alternative construction methodologies.
• Tender Coordination: Work closely with engineering, procurement and commercial teams to finalise tender submissions, respond to clarifications and maintain accurate estimating records.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related construction discipline.
• 3–7 years' experience in estimating within the civil infrastructure or construction industry.
• Proven experience estimating roads, highways, bridges, utilities, drainage, earthworks and associated civil infrastructure projects.
• Practical experience in quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost build-ups and tender preparation.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, labour and plant requirements.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using estimating software; CCS experience is a strong advantage.
• Good commercial awareness, attention to detail and ability to work to tender deadlines.

What we offer

Salary: AED 15,000 – 25,000 monthly package (dependent on experience)
