Forwarder / Export Officer

For our client in the Brussels Airport region (Brucargo), we are looking for a Forwarder / Export Officer. Our client is an international logistics player specializing in medical and pharmaceutical shipments. Think of medicines, clinical samples, and other temperature-sensitive products transported worldwide.

As a Forwarder / Export Officer, you ensure that international export shipments depart correctly and are followed up on. You are in contact with carriers, airlines, and colleagues abroad. You know how quickly a schedule can change in air freight. Therefore, we are looking for someone who works independently, is accurate, and can switch gears quickly.

What will you do?

• You organize international export shipments, primarily via air freight.
• You create transport files and follow them up from booking to departure.
• You prepare and check export and transport documents.
• You coordinate with airlines, customs agents, and transport partners.
• You take into account the specific requirements of temperature-sensitive products.
• You monitor deadlines, flight schedules, and transport instructions.
• You communicate with customers and international colleagues regarding the status of shipments.
• You seek solutions when a shipment is delayed or documents are missing.
• You ensure correct administrative processing in the internal systems.
• You work according to the applicable quality and safety procedures.
• You have experience within forwarding, export, or international air freight.
• You are familiar with export documentation and transport formalities.
• Knowledge of customs procedures is a plus.
• You speak and write fluent English.
• You can independently follow up on transport files.
• You work accurately and maintain an overview when multiple shipments are running simultaneously.
• You communicate clearly with customers and logistics partners.
• You are flexible and can deal with unexpected changes.
• Experience with medical or temperature-controlled logistics is an advantage.
