Customs / Import Officer

For our client in the Brussels Airport region (Brucargo), we are looking for a Customs / Import Officer. Our client is an international logistics specialist in the biopharmaceutical and medical sector. The organization is responsible for the transport of temperature-sensitive medicines and other critical medical products. For the import operations, we are looking for someone who handles customs documents, international shipments, and administrative obligations with precision. You will ensure that incoming goods are processed correctly and that the necessary formalities are in order in a timely manner.

What will you do?

• You administratively follow up on international import shipments.
• You collect and verify the necessary customs and transport documents.
• You support the preparation and processing of import declarations.
• You check data such as goods descriptions, invoices, and transport information.
• You maintain contact with customs agents, carriers, and international colleagues.
• You monitor the release of incoming shipments.
• You identify missing or incorrect documents and ensure correct follow-up.
• You take into account the specific requirements of medical and temperature-sensitive products.
• You register information in the internal systems.
• You collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and other involved departments.
• You follow the applicable customs and quality procedures.
• You preferably have experience within import, customs administration, or international forwarding.
• You have knowledge of customs formalities and import documentation.
• You work accurately and check documents in detail.
• You can follow up on files independently and take deadlines into account.
• You communicate smoothly with internal colleagues and external partners.
• You have a good knowledge of English.
• You work fluently with administrative and logistics software.
• You are solution-oriented and can handle unexpected administrative problems.
• Experience within air freight or pharmaceutical logistics is a plus.
