Accountant France

Our client is among the world leaders in the production of frozen potato products for private labels. From various production sites in Europe, they continue to build on growth and innovation every day. To strengthen the financial follow-up of the French activities, we are looking for an experienced accountant who enjoys working in an international environment.

You will be responsible for the accounting of one or more French production sites. You will ensure correct financial reporting, support the local operational teams, and work together with international colleagues towards reliable financial operations.

What will you do?

• You manage the full accounting of one or more French production sites.
• You coordinate month-end closings and process the necessary journal entries.
• You perform balance reconciliations and monitor the quality of the financial data.
• You support tax obligations and prepare for external audits.
• You prepare financial reports and analyze the results.
• You oversee the correct application of French accounting and tax regulations.
• You collaborate with various internal departments on financial analyses, projects, and business cases.
• You contribute ideas for process improvements and more efficient financial workflows.
• You are the financial point of contact for the local production sites and international finance colleagues.
• You have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or an economic field.
• You have at least 5 years of experience within accounting.
• Experience within an international or production environment is a plus.
• You have good knowledge of French GAAP and French tax regulations.
• Knowledge of Belgian or US GAAP is an advantage.
• You have excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with SAP and Power BI is an asset.
• You are analytical, accurate, and work both independently and in a team.
• You communicate fluently in French and English.
