Senior Specialist in Civil Works Design and Budgeting

Required academic training:

Graduate in Civil Engineering or Architecture. Specialization, master's degree, or complementary training in: Design and construction, renewable energy, or related fields is desirable.

Main Activities:

• Coordinate the development of civil engineering designs for projects.
• Coordinate and supervise the civil works design engineering team, ensuring compliance with technical deliverables.
• Prepare, review, and technically approve designs, calculation reports, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and review work item tables and budgets, based on the interpretation and analysis of blueprints, technical specifications, and project scopes, ensuring the correct quantification of materials and activities.
• Design and review civil works designs associated with photovoltaic projects, including foundations, platforms, internal roads, drainage, conduits, auxiliary structures, fences, technical buildings, and other required infrastructure.
• Review topographic, geotechnical, hydrological studies, and other technical information necessary for the development of designs.
• Prepare design criteria, technical specifications, and engineering documents for contracting and works execution processes.
• Provide technical support during construction, addressing engineering inquiries, requests for information, design changes, and conditions found in the field.
• Evaluate design change proposals and issue technical recommendations considering impact on cost, deadline, quality, and constructability.
• Perform technical visits to project sites to verify existing conditions and validate design criteria.
• Verify compliance with codes, technical standards, construction regulations, and standards applicable to projects.
• Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and supporting documentation for the designed projects.
• Support the planning of engineering activities, resource estimation, and scheduling of design deliverables.
• Analyze existing blueprints to verify technical specifications, dimensions, and constructive details.
• Participate in technical coordination meetings with clients, contractors, suppliers, and company personnel.

Required experience:

• 3 or more years of experience as a Senior Specialist in Design or similar positions.
• Experience in the design and development of infrastructure and construction projects.
• Experience in the preparation, review, and interpretation of blueprints.
• Experience coordinating personnel.
• Experience of at least 1 year as a Civil Works Resident.
• Experience in the preparation and review of estimates, calculation reports, budgets, costs, and technical specifications of civil works based on the interpretation and analysis of blueprints.
• Experience in supervision or technical accompaniment of civil works.
• Desirable experience in medium and large-scale projects.
